Peter Davies - Managing Director - South West Ventures Fund - Bristol
Peter leads the YFM Group team in Bristol investing the South West Ventures Fund. Peter has extensive venture capital experience having previously been an Investment Director of Advent Venture Partners' VCT division and an Investment Manager at 3i plc. In between these roles, Peter spent several years in the industry at Laporte plc, the international speciality chemicals group. Peter qualified as a Chartered Accountant at PwC and holds an MA in Natural Sciences from Oxford University.
Julian Dennard - Senior Investment Manager - Bristol
Julian is an Economics graduate from Warwick University who began his career at the Bank of England and then spent four years as an investment manager on the Shell UK Pension Fund. Julian then went on to spend six years in KPMG Corporate Finance both in London and Sydney before joining the Bristol office of the YFM Group in July 2006.
Alison Briggs - Investment Manager - Bristol
Alison is a member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals, a Chartered Management Accountant and history graduate from the University of Birmingham. Alison has wide experience in business management, finance and venture capital having previously worked for KPMG Corporate Finance, Cadbury Ltd and British Airways plc. Alison joined the YFM Group in 2001.
Nick Simmonds - Investment Manager - Bristol
Nick joined YFM Group's Bristol office in January 2007. Nick has 5 years venture capital experience which he obtained working for NESTA's early stage technology fund. Previously Nick spent several years in management consultancy firstly with Cambridge Pharma Consultancy and then with IMS Health. Nick holds a BSc in Biology from Sussex University and an MSc in Technology & Innovation Management from SPRU - University of Sussex.
