Submitting a Business Plan
When thinking about submitting your business plan, please ensure you have considered the following and it is included in your plan:
- What is your product and who are you selling it to?
- Why will your customers buy it and what makes your product/service better than your competitors? What is your USP?
- What is the current and future potential market worth?
- What are the routes to market for your product and how do you sell through them?
- Who are your competitors and how will you stay ahead of them?
- What are the risks your business will face?
- Who are your management team and how are they qualified to deliver the business plan?
- Who are the current owners of the business and what are their relative shareholdings?
- What is your funding requirement and how will the funds be used?
- What is the current financial performance and what are the projections for the future?
- Operational details (e.g. Location, premises, governing legislation, personnel requirements etc).
- Relevant appendices (e.g. Management team CVs, historic accounts, samples of marketing literature etc).
- Who will want to buy the investors shares/the company at some point in the future?
