SWVF funding fuels classic car company expansion

Tygan Motor Company, which produces replicas of celebrated Porsche sports cars of the 1950s, has secured finance from the South West Ventures Fund.

The investment will be used to expand the company’s sales and marketing operation, to increase R&D to meet new European regulations and to increase stock.

The Tygan marque was launched at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed last year with the Speedster 356. From 2009 Tygan will be offering a second model, the 550 Spyder, derived from the famous racing Porsche that competed in the Le Mans 24 Hours and the Mille Miglia. Both designs are based on the running gear of the original Volkswagen Beetle.

Good OilHemp seed oils and dressings attract funding for a GOOD future

A North Devon company which supplies premium hemp seed oils and dressings to major supermarket chains such as Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury’s has secured investment from the South West Ventures Fund to drive sales of its GOOD OIL range.

Braham & Murray, based in Barnstaple, was founded by Henry Braham and Glynis Murray. The products – GOOD OIL Original, GOOD OIL Light, GOOD DRESSINGS and GOOD SEEDS – have a delicate nutty flavour and can now be found in 1,500 stores throughout the UK.

GOOD OIL is one of the healthiest culinary oils on the market. It has half the saturated fat of olive oil and is rich in Omegas (essential fatty acids), which the body needs for a healthy heart as well as being important for the brain, nervous and immune systems. Analysis by nutritionists at King’s College London shows that 10ml of GOOD OIL per day makes a substantial contribution to the intake of essential fatty acids required for good health.
