The ISSEE (International School for Security and Explosives Education) trains people from commercial, military and law enforcement backgrounds in a range of explosives and security-related subjects to City and Guilds level.
The school’s clients include UK government and public sector bodies - including the military, police and fire departments - and overseas governments and UK corporations. Its students work across a wide range of sectors, using the skills they learn to protect members of royal families, international VIPs and people in post-conflict areas.
The ISSEE - which runs a training facility on a 55-acre site at the UK Centre for Homeland Security on the former RAF Chilmark site in Wiltshire – was launched in 2000 by Alan Hatcher who was an explosives expert within both the Army and the RAF for nearly 30 Years.
